ANIMAL CROSSING AND DOOM ETERNAL DROP THIS WEEK

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Doom Eternal come out tomorrow, and we here at SlashShout just wanted to give you a quick reminder of what’s in store and how you can get a copy of your own!

Doom Eternal

Well, technically you can already grab your copy of Doom Eternal if you head to your nearest GameStop. The popular game retailer decided to drop the title a day early considering the fact that Animal Crossing also releases tomorrow, potentially creating long lines. In the time of social distancing, GameStop decided it was best to release Doom Eternal first so stores would not get overcrowded. Talk about community consideration!

The Doom franchise began in 1993 with the first title for PCs, and shows no signs of slowing down; early reports on Eternal are that it’s one of the finest titles in the series since the ’90s.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo Switch fans are about to take quarantine to a new level with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. However, those who ordered physical copies from Amazon may be disappointed, as users are reporting delivery delays. Amazon has made substantial changes due to the COVID-19 outbreak, including pushing back non-essential shipments to later dates. If you ordered your game from the online retailer, expect the delivery to come by March 24th.

Don’t worry, if you’re too excited to wait, you can download the digital copy at midnight EST on your Switch device.
