JACKEYLOVE SIGNS UP WITH LPL’S TOP ESPORTS

JackeyLove, former Invictus Gaming’s ADC has finally signed with the LPL’s Top Esports organization, as revealed today. He became a free agent back in November 2019 after IG failed to renew his contract. Despite his pivotal role in the team’s success these last two years, the organization instead chose to sign Ding “Puff” Wang. Rumors indicated that he would join Royal Never Give Up alongside ADCs Uzi and Betty. But that never came to fruition and he was left teamless.

Top Esports’ bid for glory

Top Esports currently ranks fourth place in the LPL with its 7-3 record. JackeyLove will begin training immediately, according to the organization. If all goes to plan, he will gradually replace the team’s current ADC, Ying “Photic” Qi-Shen. Should the season continue to go well, this new roster could see the team land a spot in the spring playoffs. Their top-laner Bai “369” Jai-Hao, jungler Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan, and mid-laner Zhuo “knight” Ding only stand to improve by adding JackeyLove to the roster.

JackeyLove’s role in IG

In 2019, JackeyLove was one of the key players in defining IG’s road to Worlds. If not for him, the team would have failed to beat TES in the LPL Regional Finals. The team continued on with a strong showing at Worlds and made it so far as the semifinals. However, it was a loss to future winner FunPlus Phoenix that ended their bid for the championship.

TES’s next matchup is against Rogue Warriors in the LPL on Monday, April 6.
